Commandos 2 : Traffic Accidents
Friday, January 15th 2010
Vehicles in Commandos 2 are dangerous objects. The cars, trucks and tanks can run down ( and kill ) anyone foolish enough to stand between them and their destination ( this could means either the enemies or your commandos ). In this particular entry, I am going to demonstrate how dangerous this object could be if used in tandem with a little manipulative strategy.
First, you will have to let your driver Tread throw a sleeping gas to a group of enemy soldiers. As they fall asleep, tie all of them and confiscate all their weapons. Make sure to double check the weapon confiscation part. After you are sure that all their weapon had been confiscated, manipulate an enemy soldier to the position of the tied soldiers by any means necessary.
Whether you should hit the soldier who try to free his comrade after freeing one of the tied soldier (to prevent him from shooting you) depend on the situation you face.
After all the tied enemies are freed, show one of your commandos in front of them. Use any means necessary to lure all previously tied enemies to chase your commandos. Don't let them hit your commandos, while hitting is the only damage inflicting method an unarmed enemy can do, 20+ unarmed enemies can kill your commandos pretty quickly by hitting them repeatedly.
Run to the nearest car available. Unarmed enemies aren't programmed to hit you when you are inside a vehicle. Armed enemies though can still shoot you unless you are inside specialized vehicles such as tanks ( then it is pretty much massacre time ).
The enemies are programmed to avoid a vehicle trying to run them down, but their running speed is no match against the speed of a vehicle. Frontal run down is not recommended to kill the enemies by vehicles, since most enemy can avoid a linear moving vehicles easily. Turning the vehicle at full speed is a better strategy.
